ASPESI is focusing on developing an increasingly responsible operational model aimed at minimizing environmental and social impact to create added value in all our activities. Our responsibility strategy is anchored in ASPESI's heritage and values, for a positive legacy that respects the ethical values that have always accompanied the company's evolution. First and foremost, the timelessness and longevity of our garments, designed to extend their life cycle and ensure durability over time. With this in mind, in recent years ASPESI has defined a structured panel of ESG goals to be achieved in the short to medium term. Our efforts will be detailed in the first sustainability report that will account for the actions taken up to the end of 2024.

ENVIRONMENT

From an environmental perspective, the Group has strengthened its commitment by becoming a signatory of the UN Global Compact in 2021. The focus of our actions is aimed at increasing the use of renewable materials and energy, along with reducing our emissions, energy and water consumption, and respecting animal rights.

SOCIAL

In the social sphere, Aspesi's commitment aims at creating greater well-being for our employees and the communities we serve. This includes respecting diversity and supporting equal opportunities for men and women, which have always been part of our operations. This commitment was reinforced by becoming a signatory of the UN's Women Empowerment Principles and presenting the biennial Gender Equality Report in 2022.

GOVERNANCE

With over 50% of our producers located in Italy, our governance strategy aims to ensure that all our garments are made respecting workers' rights and following ethical business principles verified through a thorough and constant process of social and environmental auditing. Our responsible sourcing practices are strengthened by our commitment to structurally include productions from social enterprises, creating job opportunities for minorities and disadvantaged communities. ASPESI is a founding partner of Ethicarei, the first Italian ethical production chain guaranteed by the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO), and has developed partnerships with Mifuko and Made51.
