Cat Licitra
Caterina Licitra is an art catalyst and development manager for Galerie Philia and Jonathan Prince Studio. She is also the co-founder of The Lux Room, a curatorial platform for digital art. "The Metaverse is my recent great passion," she says. Additionally, she promotes residencies for artists and designers, one on Pantelleria and another in London. "And the third should open soon in Abu Dhabi," she adds. The video and photos for the service were taken at Parco dei Principi in Sorrento, designed by her great-grandfather Gio Ponti, the father of her grandmother Lisa Licitra Ponti. "She was a central figure in my life; I grew up with her, she passed away in 2019, and I think about her every day," she recounts. Their bond was so strong that she designated her as her direct heir. "She loved to tell me, 'One must be light in both life and work. Lightness and beauty will take us anywhere'."
Licitra travels extensively to meet new artists, attend exhibitions, and draw inspiration. "I have lived in London, Istanbul, Doha, Maputo, and Milan. But the place I feel most connected to is Phuket, Thailand." She continues, "I love colors, lightweight fabrics like silk, and often wear dresses that can transition from day to evening with just a change of shoes."
